Welcome to the blog of Dr. Mani Zadeh! I started this blog because I get asked a lot of questions every day by patients and colleagues alike about how sinus surgery works, and about the many advanced procedures we offer at the Los Angeles Sinus Institute. Even though I make time to answer questions with all my patients, I thought it might be useful as well to create a separate space where I can answer questions and explain the details of my practice in a bit more depth. I plan to continue adding information to this section so that it becomes something of an ultimate resource for all things sinus-related.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with my practice, let me quickly tell you a little about myself. I grew up in London and came to the U.S. to attend UCLA, where I graduated with honors. I received my M.D. from UCSD, and went on to complete a highly competitive residency at Columbia University. Today I am listed as one of Los Angeles Magazine’s “Super Doctors,” and I have been recognized by my peers as an expert in the field of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. I have published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and am a frequent invited lecturer at national conferences.
The Los Angeles Sinus Institute enjoys a national reputation for comprehensive care and treatment for all nasal and sinus disorders, and we take great pride in an approach that continues to integrate the most effective new technologies as they become available. I believe that responsible medicine means treating the whole patient, and at LASI we emphasize long-term results that place a premium on lasting comfort.
This blog is designed to be a forum where anyone with concerns about sinus issues or sinus surgery can find clear and humane answers in a hurry. Twice weekly, I will be discussing the latest techniques and technologies involved with ENT practice and sinus surgery, as well as the many issues surrounding sinus wellness in the news. Please check back often, and feel free to send in your questions. Welcome aboard.
